My go To Asian skincare products

Korean and Asian skincare is growing in demand with the Korean-wave. Over the past couple of years I've been trying out different products and have accumulated a list of my favourite products! My go to stores to purchase these products are Olive Young (a large change from South Korea), Amazon, The Face Shop/ Nature Collection and Sephora.

Makeup Remover

I have tried a couple different oil cleansers and I find that the best one is the Banila Co. Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm. It is gentle on the skin and gets rid of waterproof and non-waterproof makeup. They have different variations of this cleansing balm but my favourite is still the original cleansing balm.

Cleansers

I know this product is not a Korean skincare product, but I absolutely love this product. People say thatfoaming cleansers are not the best for your skin, but I find that this cleanser helps with my acne prone skin since it contains niacinamide. Make sure to foam the cleanser in your hands prior to rubbing it into your skin to reduce any irritation from foaming products. I like to use my ring fingers to massage the corners/crevasses of my nose.

Toner

Toners are known to be very drying, but I find that the best ones shouldn't make your skin feel dry and tight. I have liked a couple this year, so I will share them all with you! I find that you should look for toners that don't contain alcohols as this is what makes your skin feel tight and dry. Another note is that I usually look for hydrating toners. This is a controversial opinion, but I find that this works best for my skin.

Serum

Serums are something that is optional, but I always like to add a little more moisture to my skin, so that's why I never forget to put serum on before my moisturizer. I usually look for serums with green tea or centella asistica in them as these are great for inflammation and acne prone skin. However, there is only one serum that I love, which is the Innisfree Green Tea Leaf Serum.

Moisturizers

A good moisturizer is key to locking in all of the moisture added from the previous products, making your skin feel soft all day or night long. Belief has two really great products for moisturizing your skin. I started off with the Belif Aqua Bomb with aloe, however they discontinued the item. I was in search for another moisturizer when I was recommended the Belif Moisturizing Bomb. You may ask "what is the difference?" Well, the Aqua Bomb is more of a gel and very light weight. I love this one for the summer especially since my skin tends to be very oily, especially in the summer time. Despite it being a gel base, it is still very hydrating. The Moisture Bomb is your typical cream and holds moisture in for a very long time. If you have dry or normal skin, I would definitely recommend this product. I use this product in the winter months as my skin tends to be on the dryer side. I even started using this cream rather than my Almond oil at night. When I wake up, my skin is still very moisturized and soft.

Sunscreen

The key to looking younger longer is to put on sunscreen daily. I love the nature republic sunscreen as it is very lightweight and doesn't leave a white cast. I heard that they discontinued this product and am very disappointed that they decided to.
